God Is Love!

   A few weeks ago I was preparing for a message for church when I came across this encouraging story:

"The great London preacher Charles Spurgeon was driving through the countryside when he noticed a weather vane on top of a farmhouse. The windscreen on the top of the weather vane had these words written on it "God Is Love". Curious about such an unusual inscription for a weather vane he stopped and knocked on the door of the farmhouse and inquired "I just had to stop and ask about your weather vane. Do the words, God Is Love" mean that God's love changes as the weather changes? The farmer replied, "Oh, no. What we mean is that whichever way the wind blows, God is still love."

With all that has been going on in the last few weeks it is important to remember that God STILL LOVES US! and will not let us go.  He has not forgotten us.
                           John 3:16 is that kind of love!

God will not let go!

Today's Bible Verse is one that we have used many times at the Barron Church and it is one of the most encouraging and helpful promises in the Bible.
Hebrews 13:5 For He Himself has said,
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
There is a song that we have sung many, many times in the past few years at the Barron Church:        "You Never Let Go", by Matt Redman or as it is known at our church as the "Oh No" song. If I could encourage you with anything during these times of fear and worry, is that God will NEVER let go of us. He has promised many times that He will never leave us or forsake us. The thought behind this verse is that God will never, never, never, never leave us or forsake us. You can count on Him being with us and taking care of us every step of the way.

Welcome to Home Church

   Over the years we have put together several short inspirational videos that we have shown at church. Since we will not be able to meet together in the next few weeks, we thought it would be good to share some of these videos online. Our goal is simply to encourage you and help you keep your eyes and minds on our Savior and Lord.
    I am also planning on putting together a short online devotional a few times a week to keep you encouraged and hopefully blessed. Our verse for tonight is found in Isaiah 40:30-31

Even youths grow tired and weary,
    and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.

God bless and remember that God loves you and cares about you!
